These people are living on another planet – and clearly haven’t a clue about the massive challenge facing the economy in Wales which is about to go off a cliff.

Harri Roberts, member of the National Executive of Plaid Cymru, is reported at Agence Bretagne Presse as saying …..
“I happily argue for the slippery slope to Independence. The first step which we are embarking on now is to convince our people to vote YES in a referendum on what we call “full law-making powers” for our Parliament. (often seen as the same as Scotland has). Then…. ”
Would you agree with the statement.

No, Plaid did introduce free parking and voted for free prescription and now in government is keeping them free.

This broadcast makes life extremely difficult for those of us on the left trying to make common purpose with the socialist wing of Plaid. It plays right into the hands of the Brit Nat right in Labour who level accusations Plaid can’t be trusted, they are unprincipled opportunists etc.
To be honest the broadcast would be libelous if it wasn’t so silly. It is deliberately misleading but delivered in such a cack handed way that it is almost has a comic spoof like quality to it.
Plaid are key players with the left of Welsh Labour in trying to take forward socialist policies in the best interests of the majority of Welsh people. But to try and feign credit for initiating ideas like free car parking or prescriptions is factually untrue and undermines Plaids credibility as a serious political party. It only fuels the allegation that Plaid are not a party that any element of Labour, even the devolutionary wing, can do business with.
Come on Bethan, Leanne and Helen, we have achieved so much in the socialist cause since May 2007, don’t put it at risk. We owe it to the people we are in politics to help to continue to work together for their welfare not take cheap shots like this broadcast. To get drawn into this immature tribalism only serves the interests of our ideological opponents and the people of Wales can expect better from us than that.

i think you’ll find it was the Labour health minister in the Labour-led Assembly Government that introduced free parking; and free presctiptions were introduced BEFORE the coalition government came into existance!

Even as a Plaid supporter i really think this party political broadcast is going to cause untold damage to the coalition. to try and claim credit for policies, which quite fairly labour can claim full credit for is rather bizzare to me.

free prescriptions for all in wales is a important socialist reform of which all supporters of devolution should be proud. So in what way does plaid supporting this policy in the assembly – thus ensuring it was implimented – reflect badly on them or make it difficult for those on the left in wales to support them?

A shameless attempt by Plaid to take credit for policies which they did not introduce.
They are playing a very dangerous game.

Never mind, eh, now that Kirsty Williams is in charge of the Lib Dems, she’ll soon be parking her tanks on your lawns, and no amount of ‘Get orrff mai land..’ will shift her..
You can kiss goodbye to Government and your influence and dreams of imposing WLA2 on the Small Medium-sized Enterprise sector of Wales..
